Synopsis: Southeast Asia is the third most populous region in the world, with an estimate of more than 655 million people. It is forecasted to grow between 4-5% annually over the next 10 years, with countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam in the lead in economic growth. What opportunities does the region hold for our youths, and why should our youths explore work opportunities in Southeast Asia?

Mr. Tan Lin Teck, Deputy Chief Executive, National Youth Council | |

Mr Tan Lin Teck is the Senior Director (Youth) in the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and concurrently Deputy Chief Executive of the National Youth Council. Lin Teck works with partners from the public, private, and people sectors
on policies and programmes that support youths across different population segments and major life stages.

Associate Professor Piti Srisangnam, Executive Director, ASEAN Foundation | |
 | Associate Professor Piti Srisangnam is the Executive Director of the ASEAN Foundation. He is also Assistant Professor of Economics at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. He has published several papers in journals and books such
as on the economic development in Southeast Asia and on trade in services among ASEAN member states. He also hosts 4 radio programs related to current issues in ASEAN. He currently heads the ASEAN Foundation which is based in Jakarta.
Through various projects under the thematic areas of Arts and Culture, Community Building, Education and Media, the ASEAN Foundation empowers the people of ASEAN to contribute to the building of the ASEAN Community.

Ms Anna Yeow, Head, Global Innovation Alliance & Startup Ecosystem, The Sandbox, Ngee Ann Polytechnic | |
 | Ms. Anna Yeow is the Head of the Global Innovation Alliance and the startup eco-system in the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Office in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. She drives the signature Global Entrepreneurial
Internship Programme in which students obtain immersive experience of the startup eco-system by interning in startups and innovation arms of companies in major startup hubs of the world. She also leads in developing student and alumni
entrepreneurs in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Several Ngee Ann entrepreneurs were groomed under her leadership. Prior to this, she was the Deputy Director of Industry in the School of Business and Accountancy. |

Camelia Sephiana is a 3rd year student from Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Community Development Diploma programme.
She recently completed her overseas internship under the Global Entrepreneurial Internship
Programme (GEIP) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She enjoys cultural exchange sessions where she can learn more about cultures and network with different people. She has also had the opportunity to emcee for the MOU Ceremony for
all the startups NP has partnered with for GEIP.
