The Aerobics Club is the only one of its kind you’ll find in a poly! We cater to members of all fitness levels, so whether you’ve never tried aerobics or you make it a regular part of your exercise regime, you’ll fit right in. Workouts include cardiovascular training, muscle strengthening and toning exercises, and strength and weight training. Try out our Step Aerobics session to help not only with physical fitness but memory, coordination and balancing skills.
Think you can unleash an arrow to fly 150 mph? You can, at the Archery Club! Since its inception in 1998, the Archery Club has won numerous medals at national-level competitions. Our skilled and passionate members have also been a part of Singapore's National Team, have had the opportunity to participate in archery competitions/events, and have held both Male and Female POL-ITE championships.
With badminton being the second most popular sport in the world, the Badminton Club is in demand. We provide a great environment for recreational players who want to improve their skills in sparring matches and workouts, as well as leadership training in the form of planning and management. The Canoeing Club focuses on the canoe sprint discipline, which comprises mainly canoe marathons and sprinting competitions that test your strength, power and endurance. Sprinting boats are meticulously designed to slice through the water to achieve great speeds. So, if speed’s your thing, this is the club for you.
The Climbing Club specialises in competitive sport climbing, which consists of bouldering and high wall climbing. While high wall climbing requires ropes or harnesses, bouldering is a form of free climbing, which, as the name suggests, doesn’t require rope or harness support. Both variations use artificial rock walls and are practised in indoor climbing gyms around Singapore. In the Climbing Club, you’ll develop highly skilled techniques and sportsmanship. There are many ways to approach rock climbing, which is why the sport can involve multiple people coming together to solve problems and improve techniques. The Dragon Boat Club carries an illustrious history, coupled with a fierce reputation for determination, strength and team spirit in the Singapore Dragon Boat fraternity. The team participates in international and local regattas and races, such as the Malaysian Dragon Boat Regatta and Singapore Regatta. The main highlight for the club is competing in the POL-ITE and trying our very best to row to glory. We welcome students who are new to dragon boating.
Fencing exercises both the mind and the body and is the only sport without a weight class. You win based on skill and technique alone. As a new member of the Fencing Club, you get to choose which weapon group you are most comfortable with and learn from there. We participate in the annual Novices and Fencing Singapore (FS) competitions and the Inter-School Fencing Invites. Join us and see if you have the flare.
Floorball is one of NP's most adrenaline-pumping team sports. As a member of The Floorball Club, you will have the platform to express yourself in competitions such as the Polytechnic-ITE (POL-ITE) and Inter-Varsity Polytechnic (IVP) games to gain exposure and experience. In addition to formal competition, we hold a range of interactive activities to build bonds between participants. We welcome all students.
NP’s Football Club gives students the opportunity to develop both as a football player and an individual. We believe in pushing each member to their fullest potential and endeavouring to be the best. The team’s passion and hard work has brought them success in the POL-ITE and Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic games.
Handball is a fast-paced and dynamic contact Olympic sport that requires athleticism, strength and teamwork. The Handball Club came in first runner up in the POL-ITE Games in 2011 and emerged champions in 2012 and 2019. We also offer opportunities for
members to polish their skills in regular friendly matches and tournaments. If you are tired of traditional sports like basketball or soccer, come try out handball!
The Hockey Club has its competitive eye on the POL-ITE and Inter-Varsity tournaments as an avenue for participants to hone their competitive edge. In addition, we welcome students who are interested in picking up hockey as a recreational sport and we
provide a platform for that by organising friendly matches with other schools and clubs.
Whether you are looking for serious competition or just to take up skating as a recreational sport, we welcome you to the Inline Skating Club. In competitions, we focus on two disciplines: the freestyle slide and classic slalom. For the slide discipline, skaters position their legs differently to execute various slides, while for the slalom discipline, skaters manoeuvre through a line of cones while performing freestyle tricks. Come join us and learn some cool manoeuvres!
Judo means the gentle way. This Olympic martial art teaches the principle of flexibility in the application of technique, and cultivates self-discipline and respect for oneself and others by providing the means for concentration and physical coordination, power and flexibility. Size doesn’t dictate success in Judo. Join us as a member to learn the art and discipline of this gracious martial art and also get to socialise through various activities as a team.
The main aim of the Lifesaving Corps is to prevent loss of life and promote safe participation in water-related pursuits. We train for internationally recognised lifesaving awards, as well as participate in annual lifesaving competitions like the NUS Lifesaving Invitational and the SLSS National Lifesaving Championships. If you are interested in learning lifesaving and honing your own swimming skills, we welcome you to our club!
The Netball Club has two tranches: competitive and recreational. The competitive team trains twice a week to prepare for two key competitions each year. The recreational team provides beginners a chance to learn the sport and experienced players to pursue it leisurely.
The Outdoor Adventure Club aims to make safe and enjoyable adventures available to the masses. The Rugby Club promotes rugby as a gentleman's game. Known as the Rhinos, we attract top players from various local and national rugby clubs. The Silat Club focuses on teaching 'tanding' (match sparring) techniques to its members. During the season’s training sessions, you can choose to join the standing category or the 'seni' (artistic) category and compete in competitions. We have done the school proud in many competitions over the years, most notably the Inter-Varsity and POL-ITE games. Whether you are new to the art or a seasoned practitioner, we welcome you to join the Silat Club.
Could you be one of the next national shooters to join our club? The Shooting Club is one of only two among the polytechnics in Singapore and provides members the chance to experience shooting on a casual or competitive basis. We focus on the 10-metre Air Rifle and 10-metre Air Pistol classifications.

The Table Tennis Club helps members discover their interest and unleash their fullest potential in the game. We cater to both recreational and competitive players, with the latter competing for places to represent NP in tournaments such as POL-ITE and IVP. Taekwondo is a traditional Korean martial art form that combines combat techniques, self-defence, discipline, sport, exercise, meditation and philosophy. Members will get a chance to learn different sparring techniques and use them in our contact sparring sessions. Every three months, members go for pattern grading to upgrade their belt level.
Tchoukball is a fast-paced invasion sport and is played recreationally and competitively in the Tchoukball Club. Members get to experience a unique form of teamwork and pick up ball handling and throwing techniques. The Touch Rugby Club aims to train confident players who develop good skills and techniques for the game. Through regular training sessions and school friendlies, you will constantly improve your skills and get to participate in carnivals such as the Winter Touch League (WTL) and the M1 School Rugby Series.
The Track and Field Club trains for a multitude of disciplines, from throws to short-distance sprints and even middle distances. Besides national level competitions like the POL-ITE games and inter-varsity tournaments, we also participate in local track meets to help members grow their competitiveness. From hand-eye coordination found in basketball and skilful team-play found in football, to the accurate passes of hockey, ultimate frisbee has it all. The Ultimate Frisbee Club aims to spread awareness of ultimate frisbee, and welcomes students of all experience levels.
Can you imagine jumping more than 300 times in a game? That’s volleyball! The Volleyball Club holds training camps at the end of each year to provide campers more intensive and detailed training. We also take part in inter-club and inter-school competitions such as Polympics on a recreational basis and represent NP in inter-varsity competitions. The Water Polo Club has brought the game to a whole new level in the polytechnic fraternity by winning gold in POL-ITE games and is the reigning champion, with 13 consecutive wins. Water Polo is a deceptively fast-paced sport where tactics, teamwork, an alert mind, hand-to-eye coordination and fitness work hand in hand. The Wushu Club promotes the martial arts through opportunities for achievement and self-satisfaction, and offers a good mix of traditional, free-style and international routines. Yoga is a sport that unites and balances your body, mind and breathing. During weekly practices, you will learn asanas (postures) and pranayama (ways of breathing) and brush up on your knowledge about yoga. We practise yoga on a purely recreational basis and welcome students of all genders and backgrounds.
