Breaking the Cycle

The social project, InandOut, combats verbal abuse among youths through more conscious and harmonious communication. Launched by a group of six final-year students, the project includes an immersive experiential programme where youths take on the perspective of a victim, abuser or bystander, and are encouraged to reflect on and break the cycle of verbal abuse.

The competition was organised by the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA), Singapore Chinese Cultural Club (SCCC) and Lianhe Zaobao.

Making Learning Fun

Making Learning Fun

CMC students Angel Han, Alyssa Tan, Lee Yi Xuan, Ng Qian Ying and Edmund Su, started a project to encourage random acts of kindness. This group of warm-hearted students even inspired their juniors and industry partners like Redman by Phoon Huat to support them in their journey to spread kindness via Instagram (@simple_dimples), as well as through podcasts and activities in the CBD!

The Monthly Affair

Innovative Social Media Campaign

To raise awareness of a topic that is sensitive to many, final-year CMC students Ng Ke Li, Ang Wei Yu, Alice Lee and Ong Meng Waye conceptualised a social media campaign that highlighted the importance of menstrual hygiene. Through Instagram (@themonthlyaffair), TikTok and RED 小红书, they destigmatised the topic using memes and short videos. Their project was featured in zbCOMMA, and they also partnered with the Chinese Development Assistance Council to conduct a sharing session for upper primary school students.

Rooting Roots

Rooting Roots

Passionate about promoting environmental awareness, a group of final-year CMC students Chua Zhan Fei, Janet Foo, Lee Xinen, Sheryl Goh and Ng Shi Kai worked with NParks and Mediacorp to create a documentary on how Singapore has evolved from a Garden City to a City in Nature. The students organised a treasure hunt in the Botanic Gardens, and set up an Instagram account to raise awareness and appreciation for the different tree and flower species in Singapore.
