A New NES+ To Foster Industry Learning And Innovation

More than a satellite facility, NES+ places NP within Punggol Digital District’s growing ecosystem, connecting organisations to its expertise, talent and industry networks for collaboration opportunities.

Located within Punggol Digital District (PDD), Singapore’s smart district where innovation, education and community converge, Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s (NP) first satellite facility – NES+ (pronounced as “Nest”) – is set to be a connector between organisations, new technologies and capability development opportunities.
With its focus on fostering a strong innovation ecosystem, the PDD houses businesses, industry associations and government agencies working to advance fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics and fintech. Fuelled by emerging technologies and the possibilities these can unlock, these organisations need timely access to skills, talent and test beds to create and pilot real-world solutions.
“Being part of this ecosystem creates more opportunities for NP to engage organisations and industry communities, understand the challenges they are navigating, and explore how our capabilities can support them,” shared Mr Ng Ker Wei, NP’s Senior Director and Director of the Industry Partnerships Office, which oversees NES+.
For instance, NES+ hosted the Beginner’s Journey for AI in Offensive Cybersecurity workshop in June 2026. The session was organised by the Association of Information Security Professionals, together with Division Zero and Range Village – two practitioner communities focused on cybersecurity learning and skills development – and supported by NP’s School of InfoComm Technology.
Featuring practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises, the workshop gave participants the chance to explore how AI tools can be applied in offensive cybersecurity. Beyond building technical capabilities, the workshop was a platform for industry partners, practitioners and educators to exchange knowledge and address emerging skill needs.
NES+ has also hosted partner visits and networking engagements, opening doors for NP’s industry partners to tap growing opportunities with the wider PDD community.
NES+ regularly hosts partner visits and networking engagements, including a delegation of overseas representatives from NP’s Southeast Asia Partners Network in May 2026.
