The 6th Joint Polytechnic-ITE Pharmaceutical Science Forum will take place on 24 October 2025 at the Music Box, Blk 73, Level 3, Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
The 6th Joint Polytechnic-ITE Pharmaceutical Science Forum is a prestigious event aimed at providing Education and Career Guidance (ECG) for students enrolled in Pharmaceutical Science programmes across the polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE).
This forum brings together a diverse range of stakeholders, including esteemed industry partners from clinical pharmacies and pharmaceutical or related organisations. These partners are invited to deliver insightful presentations on career pathways, professional development, and progression opportunities within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. Their contributions serve to enhance students’ understanding of the competencies and qualifications required to thrive in various roles across the industry.
In addition to career-related guidance, the forum offers valuable insights into current and emerging trends in the pharmaceutical and clinical pharmacy landscape. Industry expert will share perspectives on technological advancements of pharmacy operations. Such discussions are intended to enrich the students' academic foundation with relevant, real-world applications and industry foresight.
The forum also features a distinguished faculty member from the Department of Pharmacy at the National University of Singapore (NUS) which will offer students a deeper understanding of the academic pathways available at the tertiary level, particularly in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical science. The NUS faculty member will provide an overview of the admissions process and various career pathways that a pharmacy education at NUS can lead to as well as the distinctive educational experiences that set NUS apart, such as unique learning opportunities and collaborations.
This segment of the forum is especially beneficial for students who are exploring future study options and considering a seamless transition from polytechnic or ITE education to university-level pharmacy or pharmaceutical science training.
Exhibition booths from various industry partners will be set up to facilitate greater engagement and interaction with students, staff, and visitors. These booths will showcase healthcare clusters such as SingHealth, NHG Health, NUHS, and HUHS Pharmacy. Additionally, notable participants include Alcon Manufacturing Pte Ltd, a global leader in eye care; Craft Health, a 3D printing company specializing in pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals; P&G, a leading research organization in consumer and home care; and Merck, a specialist in healthcare and life sciences.
By fostering meaningful engagement between academia and industry, the forum plays a critical role in aligning educational outcomes with sectoral needs, thereby better preparing students for successful integration into the professional workforce.
