Industry Insights from Knight Frank
Stepping into a mall will never be the same again for the close to 40 first-year REB students who had the privilege of attending an exclusive sharing session at global property consultancy Knight Frank. Students learnt how market research and data analytics play a pivotal role in mall management, as well as concepts such as retail trade mix and planning that contribute to the success of a mall.
“As a first-year REB student, it was a privilege to learn from the real estate experts at Knight Frank. Through their insightful presentation on mall management and market research, I could see the relevance and importance of what we learn, as well as how the skills gained are applied in industry.”

Learning About Property Management
At REB, you will be given many opportunities to apply your skills in real work settings. Lizanne shares how a stint at Capitaland helped her understand retail and property management from the inside out!
“During my 22-week internship at CapitaLand, I was attached to their Bugis Junction and Bugis+ Centre’s Management Office as an operations intern! I saw what it took to maintain two shopping malls efficiently, such as the handover of units, managing expenditure, and working with tenants, technicians and other personnel. I could also apply the skills that I learnt in the classroom in a real work setting.”

MYNICEHOME ROADSHOW
In partnership with HDB, a group of REB students organised and executed the MyNiceHome roadshow, to share home financing tips with their peers.
“Participating in this roadshow allowed me to apply what I have learned in the course to help prospective home buyers understand how they can tap their CPF funds and HDB.”
