Ngee Ann Kongsi donates $10 million to support NP students

Synopsis: Philanthropic organisation Ngee Ann Kongsi donated $10 million to Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) today at a ceremony graced by Ms Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State for Education and Manpower. From the total donation, $2 million will be directed to an educational fund aimed at bolstering the personal development of NP students through meaningful student programmes, bursaries, scholarships and student aid grants. The remaining donation of $8 million will be placed in an endowment fund, the investment income from which will be channeled partially back to the education fund and partially to fund NP’s operations.
