Ngee Ann Poly launches first human-centred design institute

Synopsis: NP’s CET Academy announced the launch of Singapore’s first-ever Human-Centred Design Institute, in partnership with global training institute LUMA, to help organisations upskill their employees with design-thinking skills. Principal & CEO of NP, Mr Lim Kok Kiang, shared that NP will train 580 of its staff in human-centred design, and equip up to 1,200 staff from 30 SMEs over the next three years. Minister of State for Education Ms Gan Siow Huang, who was present at the launch, shared that a human-centred approach is important to prepare employees and the future workplace for technology and business disruptions.
