By the end of 2024, esteemed industry partners across sectors will be involved in co-developing, co-delivering and co-assessing at least one-third of the curriculum for all full-time diplomas. This is part of NP’s newly launched Industry-in-Curriculum (IiC) framework that will groom graduates with in-demand skill sets and industry-validated competencies. As part of IiC, students will have the option to undergo year-long internships, partake in multi-disciplinary projects based on industry-based problem statements and benefit from unique partnerships that will focus on industry-relevant training. NP will also not schedule classes on Wednesdays, as part of the 'Wednesdays Without Walls' initiative, to increase student involvement in industry projects beyond their disciplines.
This was officially announced at NP's Industry Partners Appreciation Day graced by Minister for Education Mr Chan Chun Sing. The inaugural event saw over 100 partner-companies in attendance to celebrate the key role they play in working with NP to nurture talents for the industries.
