The Lien Ying Chow Library at Ngee Ann Polytechnic has been awarded 3rd Place in the IFLA Green Library Project Award 2026 at WLIC 2026 in Busan, South Korea.

Organised by the the Green Library Award recognises libraries and projects worldwide that demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation, and impact in environmental sustainability.

Our award-winning project, Library of Tomorrow: Blueprint for Sustainable Futures, was recognised for its innovative and forward-looking approach to sustainability. By reimagining library operations through automation, self-service technologies, and operational transformation, the project demonstrates how libraries can enhance service excellence while optimising resources and reducing environmental impact.

The IFLA reviewers commended the project for its:
“Innovative and forward-looking vision of library sustainability, combining technology, operational redesign, and service transformation.”
