Our Lifestyle Collection is housed at Level 2 (entrance level) of the Library.
Books and Comics
We house a diverse range of books for personal, career or lifestyle needs.
Personal & Career Development topics include Biography, Business & Management, Creativity & Innovation, Lifeskills, Science & Technology, True Stories
Lifestyle related topics include Comics, Hobbies, Humour, Fiction, Entertainment, Sports, Food & Beverages, Travel & Culture.
Magazines
Keep yourself updated with trends in travel, fashion, food and entertainment through our range of lifestyle magazines.
Multimedia
From award-winning feature films to tv shows and documentaries, the Library offers a collection of multimedia for media analysis or leisure.
We also manage a collection of Restricted Media for academic purposes. NP Students who wish to borrow Restricted Media (including M18 Media if they are under 18) may request for lecturer endorsement via this online form. Find out more about loans and reservations.
Academic Collections
Our Academic Collection can be found throughout Level 3, 4 and 5 of the Library. This extension collection has been curated to support the learning, research and teaching needs of our NP Community.

Most of our Academic materials are located on Level 5. Our extensive collection spans disciplines like Business, Data, Engineering, Finance, Humanities, Science, Technology and more.
Searching the Catalogue
Search for our physical collections using our online catalogue.
Simply type in any keyword (e.g. Title, Author, Subject, etc).
You may filter your search results by type of material (e.g. Lifestyle magazines, Media, etc) or Attribute (e.g. Author, Title, ISBN, etc).
You can also do an Advanced Search for results that contain specific phrases.
Locate Item on Shelf
Search results in the Catalogue may indicate several copies of the same title.
If an item is borrowed by another patron, its ‘Status’ will indicate its due date.
If an item is available on the shelf, its ‘Status’ will indicate what collection it belongs to (e.g. Academic Books, Lifestyle Books, etc). Simply proceed to its corresponding location (Level 2, 3, 4 or 5) and take note of its Call Number to locate the shelf it is on.
Note: Any item under ‘Recommended Resource’ collection is for in-house reference within library premises only and cannot be loaned out.
If you’re unable to find the item on the shelf, you may raise a reservation request for the item by clicking the ‘Place Hold’ button and our library staff will attempt to locate the item within 3 working days. If the item is successfully found, you will receive an email to collect it at the Library GO Kiosk. Learn more about Loans and Reservations.
