IDPRO Exhibition by School of IS
The pilot run of the interdisciplinary (IS) project module 'Making the Connection: An Interdisciplinary Project (IDPRO)' successfully concluded with a stellar showcase of over 25 exciting booths and exhibits at Blk58, School of IS.
Students across three different tracks, Economy, Environment and Society, have identified specific areas of focus, carried out intensive research and brainstormed within multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions for complex problems. At the IDPRO Showcase, participants elaborated on and shared their creative ideas with students and visitors from the industry.
The winners, Team Noll (in above photos), showcased a world's first collapsible Smart Cup concept, available with a mobile app that tracks a customer's refillable drinks. Its proposed marketing and publicity includes promotional discounts at stores for Smart Cups users.
Upon completion of several judging rounds at the 'IDPRO Showcase', 'Team Noll' emerged as the overall top champions. Four other 'Merit Winners' included teams from Bubbles, Ignite, Space+ and Oreo With Xtra Cream. The judges were impressed with the extraordinary work of IDPRO participants.
During the semester's learning journeys, IDPRO groups also worked with industry partners on further collaboration and development opportunities. External supportive partners include the Esplanade, MEWR, Bizlink Centre, NCSS, NEA, SembWaste, Clementi Town Merchants' Association, Federation of Merchants Associations Spore (FMAS), Enterprise Singapore and more.
