Year 01

Study the history of motion arts and ​the principles of animation. Be introduced to typography, 2D & 3D graphics, hardware modelling, storyboarding, and single-camera film style video production.

Learn about compositing, graphics design, effects animation, lighting & rendering, special effects, and post-production skills.

Year 03

Pick up character rigging and set extension capabilities, and post-production skills. Work on six-month internship, industry-based project, or final-year project.

Entry Requirements


To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have the following GCE O-Level examination (or equivalent) results.

  • Subject O-LEVEL GRADE
  • English Language1 - 6
  • Mathematics (Elementary/Additional)1 - 7
  • Any two other subjects 1 - 6

You must also have sat for a Science or Art / Higher Art or Design & Technology or Food & Nutrition or a relevant OSIE / Applied Subject and fulfil the aggregate computation requirements.

Candidates with severe vision deficiency should not apply for the course. Those with colour vision deficiency are required to declare this condition at enrolment, as certain modules require colour recognition.
