If you checked yes to the above, here’s what to do next:
  1. Form a team of 2- 5 pax.
  2. Prepare a 1- 3 page (max) b usiness proposal outlining your business idea and value proposition.
  3. Attend tips & tricks sharing by F &B entrepreneur on 15 July 2016 (Friday), 5 – 6.30pm. Y ou are encouraged to join in the session before you send us your business proposal.
  4. S ubmit your proposal to with your team’s details - full name, course, school, student number, email & mobile number.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to present their business ideas and food tasting to a panel of judges on 4 Aug (Week 16).

Business Plan proposal should include the following:

1) Description of your business idea.

  • How did you come up with this idea?
  • How unique, creative and resourceful in thinking is the idea?
  • Why is it a suitable business for campus?
  • What are the marketing and advertising plans to promote the business?
  • How would your business benefit the student community of NP.

2) Commercial potential for your business idea.

  • Describe sourcing and pricing of products
  • Use a simple spreadsheet/table detailing costing & revenue
  • Show how is your business sustainable

3) Readiness, drive and determination of you and your team (where relevant).

  • Describe your team skills/expertise that would be useful in running a business. E.g. work experience in an F&B outlet

4) Bidding of monthly rental of stall

  • The amount you bid will be taken into consideration during judging and will be used as your actual monthly rental.
    Note: Bid price is not the only deciding factor, highest bid does not equate to higher scores or winner of the competition.
