On behalf of the School of Business & Accountancy (BA) and the BA Society, we would like to extend a warm welcome to you.
We have been closely monitoring the evolving Coronavirus situation, and during this uncertain time, student safety and well-being are our priority. As you may be aware, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has raised the Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) alert to Orange. This means we should avoid large scale events.
We will therefore be making some changes to BA Freshmen Orientation 2020 as follows:
1. BA Freshmen Orientation initially planned from 7th to 9th April 2020 is now cancelled.
2. Compulsory briefings to all freshmen will be conducted online.
All essential information, including but not limited to curriculum-related briefings, CCAs, campus orientation, etc., will be moved to an online platform for your easy access and reference. The objective of these briefings is to orientate you to BA and the NP campus.
3. More details will be shared with you in end March or in early April. Do stay tuned for the new programme updates in NP Orientation website and/or from your NP email.
As the situation remains fluid, we seek your understanding that these measures may change and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Please rest assured that we will be supporting your transition into polytechnic life by all available means. Once the semester starts on 20th April 2020, your respective Diploma Course Chair will disseminate important academic information to help you to navigate your first semester in NP. You will also be assigned a staff mentor who will accompany you on your three-year journey in BA. Your staff mentor will guide and advise you on your career and further studies aspirations, and also help to develop you holistically in terms of your knowledge and skills, personal branding, values and other aspects of character development.
Should you need further details and information about BA and the BA Freshmen Orientation 2020, please visit the NP Orientation website at a later date. Alternatively, you may email to us at BA_Orientation@np.edu.sg.
We thank you for your patience, and we look forward to welcoming you to our BA Family.
Students enrolling to Poly Foundation Programme (PFP) are to attend PFP orientation briefing. You will be invited for BA Orientation after completion of PFP.
Please note that there will be
no overnight stay during the orientation.
The objective of the programme is to orientate you to BA and the NP campus. We will also brief you on academic matters and provide you with an opportunity to meet your new classmates. Throughout the three days, you will participate in bonding games, sporting activities and entertainment performances.
Your seniors will be in touch with you between 30th March 2020 and 3rd April 2020 to provide you with more details of the orientation programme, as well as individual reporting times and venues for each orientation sub-group.
