Ngee Ann Polytechnic SMExchange, The Bosses Network and SkillsFuture hosted a half-day seminar in May 2019 on the topic of " Future-Ready SMEs begin with lifelong-learning ". This Chinese conference explored how future-ready business can harness the power of digital marketing to grow and expand their business and use artificial intelligence in managing operations and talents. The conference also highlighted the importance of lifelong learning to bridge the digital skills gap for a more employable and skilled workforce. The event helped SMEs understand the hows and whys of Digital Marketing and how it can transform a business from an SME perspective. We also shared the Polytechnic graduates’ perceptions of SMEs’ survey results which provided a fresh perspective to SME hiring practices. Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) SMEXchange hosted a half-day talk in June 2018 on "HR Analytics". It was a free informative sharing session to help SMEs understand the future of HR where artificial intelligence system for people management uses data analytics, machine learning and proprietary algorithms to produce valuable predictions for business leaders, managers and employees.
The event was also part of NP SMEXchange effort to create a platform for content sharing among leaders of SMEs and the polytechnic. The event had very positive feedback.
