What You Will Learn
You are required to complete 2 post-diploma certificates within a two-year validity period to be awarded the Specialist Diploma qualification.
Speech Training and Storytelling

Learn speech production and development as well as the conceptual framework. Comprehend phonetic representations and models such as International Phonetic Alphabet and phonological theory. Learn storytelling function, its modes, skills and strategies that can be utilized in the classroom practically.

Literacy Teaching

Be introduced to common literacy issues and their causes and explore the concept of child empowerment through questioning and problem solving skills in process drama.

Entry Requirements

Applicants with any of the following qualifications are invited to apply for the course:

  • Have completed the Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education - Teaching (DECCE-T)
  • Have at least two years pre0school teaching experience

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): RPL is not applicable for this course
