What You Will Learn
You are required to complete 2 post-diploma certificates within a two-year validity period to be awarded the Specialist Diploma qualification.
Essential Clinical Knowledge in Palliative Care (For Nurses and Allied Healthcare Professionals)

Obtain an overview of cancer biology, screening, diagnosis, treatment, symptoms and relate this information to specific common cancers. Examine the psychosocial perspective in oncology care nursing.

Essential Clinical Skills in Palliative Care (for Nurses only)

Learn history taking and physical assessment of patients, management of treatment-related symptoms, therapeutic communication and counselling skills and how to care for terminally ill patients.

Entry Requirements

Applicants with any of the following qualifications are invited to apply for the course:

  • A Diploma / Degree in Health Sciences (Nursing) or equivalent

    • Registered nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board

    • Working experience in palliative care settings preferred

  • Diploma or degree in Allied Health disciplines

    • Allied Health professionals with minimum one year working experience

Successful applicants will need to undergo a compulsory medical examination and hepatitis B screening at any of the designated clinics. Please attach all supporting documents together with the duly completed pre-admission medical examination form and submit it to CET Academy before the start of the semester.


Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): RPL is not applicable for this course.
