From the three foundational modules to learning how to support at-risk learners via the various Development Support Programme (DSP) packages, you will learn how to focus on curriculum adaption and build proficiency in the administration of a battery of screening tools.

Study the principles of early childhood screening and assessment and work with specialist professionals towards intervention planning and focus on curriculum adaption which can be administered during pull-out or in-class support.
Attain proficiency in identifying children who may have mild developmental needs by administrating screening tools. Develop process and practical knowledge in the areas of Language, Literacy, Social Skills, and Handwriting in order to better support learners who have developmental needs in these areas.

Have completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Teaching (DECCE-T)
Have at least two-years of pre-school teaching experience
Have been hired as a LSEd under the DSP.
To Apply for one PDC only:
Have completed a DECCE-T
Have been practising for at least two years as an early childhood educator
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): RPL is not applicable for this course.
