Formal Course/ 4 months
This module provides students with the basic concepts and principles of power hydraulics system. The aim of this module is to enable students to understand how a hydraulic system functions. Computation analysis on main components in the system are also being taught. Theory taught in classes are validated in the practical sessions through the module.
This course forms a “stackable” module under theDiploma in Engineering (Mechanical) / Part-time Diploma in Engineering (Mechatronics).

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
