With the government initiative in promoting a smart nation, the demand for manpower with hands-on Internet of Things (IoT) knowledge and skills will grow over the next few years. The IoT is one of the essential elements for Singapore to realize its vision of a Smart Nation. In line with that, at Ngee Ann Poly we have the IoT Centre to support Smart Campus projects for students and staff.

Want to understand what IoT is and why it is important? In this 3 days practical oriented course, participants will:

  • Explore the architecture and system design of IoT solutions to increase efficiency and reduce cost
  • Learn to build an IoT system for environmental monitoring
  • Gain understanding of the functionalities of basic building blocks: embedded devices with sensors, cloud service, and mobile app

Singapore Citizen & PRs: $270.10

Full course fee: $781.10

Course fee is payable upon acceptance. It is inclusive of 7% GST and subject to review.

Entry Requirements
  • Applicants should have basic programming knowledge in Python
  • Applicants without any programming experience may consider attending “Basic Programming with Flowchart and Python” course

This is a practical oriented training course with some short lectures to explain key concepts. Participants are expected to bring their own laptop and work on labs progressively towards a complete temperature monitoring IoT system.
