What You Will Learn
You are required to complete 5 modular certificates within a five-year validity period to be awarded the Diploma qualification.
Business Analysis

Acquire basics of accounting & finance, business statistical tools and models commonly used for decision making. Create & manipulate data to solve and improve operations and processes.

Business Principles

Study principle of economics and their applications in Microeconomics & Macroeconomics setting. Gain basic knowledge of business law and essential concepts and principles of marketing goods and services.

Business Management

Build written and oral communication skills in order to prepare and deliver effective business presentations. Understand how human resource management skills are developed to attract and retain optimum number and quality of employees in an organisation.

Business Applications

Study fundamentals of cost & managerial accounting and their application in manufacturing & service industries. Develop skills to improve business processes using information technology (IT) systems and tools.

Elective Modular Certificate (MC). You are required to select one of the three Elective MCs.
Business Enterprise

Use the skills acquired to identify improvement in the functional areas of an organization. Understand the importance of Customer Relationship Management and how it can affect the businesses’ bottom-line.

Logistics Management

Comprehend importance of warehousing and storage management in the logistic industry. Acquire skills and techniques of materials handlings and inventory planning and control.

Social Media Management

Understand and plan content for online marketing, adopt social media strategies, generate opportunities and sales leads and interpret and analyse data using web analytics tools.

Entry Requirement

Applicants with any of the following qualification are invited to apply for the course:

  • The following GCE 'O' Level grades and with at least 3 years of relevant work experience:
    • English Language (Grade 1-6)
    • Mathematics (Grade 1-6)
    • One other subject(Grade 1-6)
  • NITEC with GPA >= 3.5 with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

  • Higher NITEC with at least 1 year of relevant work experience.

  • NITEC in Technology or Services with GPA >= 3.5 and with at least 2 years of relevant working experience AND successful completion of Bridging Programme offered by ITE.

  • Higher NITEC in Technology or Services with at least 1 year of relevant working experience AND successful completion of Bridging Programme offered by ITE.

  • Relevant WSQ Diploma qualifications (depending on sector, Programme & level - bridging course may be required) with at least 3 years of relevant working experience and WPLN (Level >= 6) may be accepted as ‘O’ Level equivalent English Language & Mathematics requirements.


Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
