You are required to complete 4 post-diploma certificates within a four-year validity period to be awarded the Advanced Diploma qualification.
Focuses on molecular biology, protein technology and cell culture techniques which are applied in the development, analysis, and production of biopharmaceuticals.
Attain knowledge and skills on microbiological, analytical and biochemical techniques that are important in quality control and analysis in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Introduces essential generic quality issues, such as QC, QA, CAPA, compliance and validations, including the application of Good Manufacturing Practices, regulatory standards, Quality Management Systems and quality audits.
Provides an overview of the processes involved in biopharmaceutical production, from raw materials to finished products, along with hands-on operation of laboratory scale bioreactors, biologic purification using various chromatographic methods and drug formulations.

Applicants with any of the following qualifications are invited to apply for the course:
A Diploma / Degree in technical disciplines such as Science, Engineering or Information Technology
A Diploma or Degree in a non-engineering / non-technology disciplines
AND a Credit or minimum grade of C6 in GCE "O" level Science Subject
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
