From the fundamentals of animal anatomy, husbandry, and pathology, to clinical practices and workplace safety, you will learn how to apply the skills and knowledge required in the diagnosis and treatment of animals seen in veterinary clinics and hospitals.

Acquire the knowledge of the normal and abnormal physiology of common small animals. Learn the skills required to operate equipment and perform tests to diagnose animal disease. Applicants will also learn to identify basic animal behavior and associated husbandry related to the upkeep of animals.
Acquire the knowledge of microorganisms which cause disease in animals, and the rationale behind drugs used to treat them. Applicants will also learn about veterinary diagnostic, surgical and treatment practices.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
