What You Will Learn
You are required to complete 2 post-diploma certificates within a two-year validity period to be awarded the Specialist Diploma qualification.
Clinical Procedures

Get an overview of statutory regulations in veterinary practice and learn fundamentals of fluid therapy towards management of trauma and common emergencies. Also covers pain management and selection and proper execution of an anaesthetic protoco

Professional Practices

Comprehend the operations and regulations of the pet related industry, along with principles and concepts of customer services and basic management of animal shelters.

Entry Requirements

Applicants with the following qualifications are invited to apply for the course:

  • A local Polytechnic Diplomaor Degree in a relevant discipline, and
  • Significant animal handling experience or who display a deep passion for animal care


Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
