From clinical knowledge to clinical skills in palliative care,
you will learn how to care for patients with life-limiting illnesses, in particular cancer,
including emergencies encountered in oncology.
Day Class, 9 months
Wed and Sat
(1) 9.00am to 5.00pm during study blocks in classroom(2) AM / PM/ DAY shifts during clinical attachment blocks in selected clinical areas

Obtain an overview of cancer biology, screening, diagnosis, treatment, symptoms and relate this information to specific common cancers. Examine the psychosocial perspective in oncology care nursing.
Learn history taking and physical assessment of patients, management of treatment-related symptoms, therapeutic communication and counselling skills and how to care for terminally ill patients.
Applicants with any of the following qualifications are invited to apply for the course:
A local Polytechnic Diploma/ Degree in Health Sciences (Nursing) or equivalent
Registered nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board
Working experience in palliative care settings preferred
A local Polytechnic Diploma or degree in Allied Health disciplines
Allied Health professionals with minimum one year working experience
Successful applicants will need to undergo a compulsory medical examination and hepatitis B screening at any of the designated clinics. Please attach all supporting documents together with the duly completed pre-admission medical examination form
and submit it to CET Academy
before the start of the semester.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): RPL is not applicable for this course.
