With the advancement of technology, Additive Manufacturing (AM), as the 3D printer is more aptly named, is set to be the next revolution in manufacturing since the industrial revolution. Ever heard of a 3D-printed jet engine? Or 3D printers capable of building a house? How about eating 3D-printed pizza? Are they real? Find out the truth in this one day course and be awed by how technology will affect you in the near future.
In this 1-day workshop, participants will be trained for the industry and be able to handle 3D machines and design parts that could take advantage of the new Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA). This course gives participants an insight into 3D printing from basics to advanced level in just one day.

Kaya Totong, Lecturer, School of Engineering, Ngee Ann Polytechnic
Kaya Totong graduated from Imperial College of Science & Technology and obtained his Masters from the National University of Singapore. He is a Professional Engineer and a Senior Member of IES. Kaya has been a full-time lecturer with the Polytechnic since 1991. He is currently serving as Centre Manager of Design Innovation Centre (DIC) under the School of Engineering. In terms of continuing education for adult learners, he specializes in CAD & 3D Printing courses. Equipped with CSWA (Certified SolidWorks Associate), he is comfortable with SolidWorks. He actively undertakes research projects and consultancy work, having accomplished numerous projects in the past 10 years, 3 of which have been put in the market.
Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass assessments.
Course fee is payable upon acceptance. It is inclusive of 7% GST and subject to review.
