This course provides an introduction to the safe operation and optimization of a petrochemical plant. The course will cover:
  • Fundamentals of process engineering, providing participants with a basic understanding of the process plant operations
  • Process instrumentation and control
  • Aspects of industry automation/ introduction to Industry 4.0
  • Use of process simulations to enhance troubleshooting, plant start-up and shut-down and safe plant operations

In-class assessment(s) required.
A Certification of Performance will be awarded to participants who have achieved at least 75% in attendance and pass all required assessment(s).

Participants will also be awarded 14 Safety Development Unit (SDU) points under the Ministry of Manpower’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme for Workplace Safety and Health Officers (WSHO).
