apply the practical aspects of stress analysis and machine systems.

Acquire the fundamental training in the principles and practices of the international graphic language for engineering.
Equip with the skills to analyze problems of rigid bodies in motion. Identify the practical aspects of stress analysis and machine systems through laboratory sessions.
Obtain basic knowledge of common engineering materials, metal structures and different types of production systems.
Comprehend the fundamental principles of Fluid Mechanics, application of basic thermodynamic principles to engineering problems and engineering of piping system.
Attain the fundamental concepts of industrial hydraulic applications to be implemented in automation and process industries and perform simulation and hands-on circuit construction and implementation.
The module of Automotive Technology provides the participants a full spectrum of knowledge for the systems on the current vehicles. It consists of Automotive Engine Technology, Automotive Electrics & Sensor Technology and Automotive Powertrain & Chassis Technology.
Applicants with any of the following qualification are invited to apply for the course:
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
