Develop skills in solving dc network by using Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's Law and Thevenin Theorem. Design simple Zener voltage with analysis and calculation the electrical parameters of diode and transistor circuits.
Apply operating principles and design characteristics of devices and circuits in various practical circuits. Explore computer tool for control system design using MATLAB.
Obtain the skills and hands-on experience needed to support networks in small-to-medium businesses. Learn to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches and resolve common issues.
Get hands-on to design and build application projects based on digital electronics. Operate the microcontroller system and interface it to electronic circuits using ‘C’ language.
Apply optic devices and lasers theory in the telecommunication system. Comprehend how signal processing is applied in digital areas. Gain concept on how analog modulation and demodulation techniques are applied.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
