What You Will Learn
You are required to complete 5 modular certificates within a five-year validity period to be awarded the Diploma qualification.
Logistics Management

Comprehend importance of warehousing and storage management in the logistic industry. Acquire skills and techniques of materials handlings and inventory planning and control.

Materials Management

Learn materials planning & control to make effective contribution in managing resources and material flow in an organization.

International Trade Operations

Study Maritime Logistics role and its effect on the industry. Understand foundation in global logistics operations to tackle the complex and intense global market.

Specialized Logistics

Be able to define cold chain logistics, project & events logistics and chemical logistics. Understand how to manage and handle different types of goods.

Elective Modular Certificate (MC). You are required to select one of the three Elective MCs .
Business Management

Build communication and presentation skills to deliver effective business presentations. Gain insights of HRM skills to attract and retain optimum number and quality of employees in an organisation.

Business Analysis

Acquire basics of accounting & finance, business statistical tools and models commonly used for decision making. Create & manipulate data to solve and improve operations and processes.

Study principle of economics in Microeconomics & Macroeconomics and their effects. Use marketing concepts and see the impacts of decision making in marketing of goods and services.

Entry Requirement

Applicants with any of the following qualification are invited to apply for the course:

  • The following GCE 'O' Level grades and with at least 3 years of relevant work experience:
    • English Language (Grade 1-6)
    • Mathematics (Grade 1-6)
    • One othersubject(Grade 1-6)
  • NITEC with GPA >=3.5 with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

  • Higher NITEC with at least 1 year of relevant work experience.

  • NITEC in Technology or Services with GPA >= 3.5 and with at least 2 years of relevant working experience AND successful completion of Bridging Programme offered by ITE.

  • Higher NITEC in Technology or Services with at least 1 year of relevant working experience AND successful completion of Bridging Programme offered by ITE.

  • Relevant WSQ Diploma qualifications (depending on sector, Programme & level - bridging course may be required) with at least 3 years of relevant working experience and WPLN (Level >= 6) may be accepted as ‘O’ Level equivalent English Language & Mathematics requirements.


Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
