The 1st Assistant Camera (1st AC), 2nd Assistant Camera (2nd AC) and 3rd Assistant Camera (3rd AC) roles are amongst the most skilled jobs on a film crew set.

The Assistant Camera hold an indispensable role on set and good ACs are always in demand.   Assistant Cameras are critical to the success of any film or television drama production.   Being part of the camera crew is exciting, varied and demanding, and requiring many skills to be successful.

To do this role, you will need to:
  • Be calm and level-headed
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Have organisational and time-management skills
  • Be able to work to a deadline
  • Pay close attention to accuracy and detail
  • Be a good communicator
  • Be adaptable to changing circumstances
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Cope well under pressure
  • Have stamina for hard work

In-class assessments.
A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass all required assessment(s).

A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement but did not pass all required assessment(s).
Course Fees





Full Fee: $930.90

Course fee is payable upon acceptance. It is inclusive of 7% GST and subject to review.
