What You Will Learn
You are required to complete 5 modular certificates within a five-year validity period to be awarded the Diploma qualification.
Communication and Problem-Solving for the Future Workplace

The Modular Certificate in Communication and Problem-Solving for the Future Workplace equips students with essential communication, numeracy, data analysis and problem-solving skills. These foundational skills will not only prepare students for the remaining modules in the Diploma course, but also the generic skills and competencies to thrive in the workplace of the future.

Applied Management - Internationalisation and the New Economy

The Modular Certificate in Applied Management - Internationalisation and the New Economy equips students with an understanding of trends in Internationalisation. It includes an overview of emerging and ever-evolving technologies and their impact on daily work, lives and businesses globally. Additionally, it will provide students with an appreciation of global infrastructure, economic development and the increasing importance of global economies. Students will also develop strategies to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, in the context of an increasingly globalised economy.

Optimising Teams for the Future Workplace

The Modular Certificate in Optimising Teams for the Future Workplace equips students with essential skills to manage teams for the future workplace. They will learn how to manage their teams through effective people and project management. They will also learn how to develop their teams to effectively identify customer needs, close deals, maintain and manage customer relationships.

Digital Literacy for the Future Workplace

The Modular Certificate in Digital Literacy for the Future Workplace equips students with an understanding of the tools and skills to develop digital content; and how to leverage digital tools for the workplace. They will also develop an appreciation of Information Security from an end-to-end perspective.

Emerging Technologies for the Future Workplace

The Modular Certificate in Emerging Technologies for the Future Workplace equips students with an appreciation of emerging technologies and how they impact organisations and businesses. They will also learn how to use collaborative tools to harness these emerging technologies.

Entry Requirement

Applicants with any of the following qualification are invited to apply for the course:

  • The following GCE 'O' Level grades and with at least 3 years of relevant work experience:
    • English Language (Grade 1-6)
    • Mathematics (Grade 1-6)
    • One other Subject (Grade 1-6)

  • NITEC with GPA >= 3.5 with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

  • Higher NITEC with at least 1 year of relevant work experience.

  • NITEC in Technology or Services with GPA >= 3.5 and with at least 2 years of relevant working experience

  • Higher NITEC in Technology or Services with at least 1 year of relevant working experience

  • Relevant WSQ Diploma qualifications (depending on sector, Programme & level - bridging course may be required) with at least 3 years of relevant working experience and WPLN (Level >= 6) may be accepted as ‘O’ Level equivalent English Language & Mathematics requirements.


Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
