The Mathematics modules below are designed to strengthen the mathematical foundation of our engineering students in their course of study in the School of Engineering.

#### Mathematics for School of Life Sciences & Chemical Technology (LSCT)

#### Mathematics for School of Design & Environment (DE)

**Engineering Mathematics 1 (EG1) Engineering Mathematics 2 (EG2)**

First Year modules taken by the students in Diploma in Sustainable Urban Design & Engineering (SDE).

**Engineering Mathematics 3B (EM3B)**

Second Year module taken by SDE students in Civil Engineering track only.

#### Certificate in Advanced Engineering Mathematics (CAEM)

Offered to NP students in the School of Engineering, School of Life Sciences & Chemical Technology and the School of Design & Environment, this programme helps to strengthen and broaden your mathematical skills in preparation for university admission.

The syllabus is aligned to H2 A-Level Mathematics (2017) Syllabus 9758 and part of H2 Further Mathematics (2017) Syllabus 9649 to fulfil the admission requirement of A-level equivalent mathematics. Benefits include exemption from the NUS foundation math module MA1301 and students will be allowed to read modules listing A-level mathematics as a prerequisite.

Eligible students will be briefed by their School/Division on the registration procedure. CAEM comprises of 8 modules, of which 4 modules are prescribed while 2 modules can be chosen from either a statistical or pure mathematics option. Completion of all 6 modules will satisfy the programme requirement.
