Common ICT Programme


Interested in infocomm technology (ICT) but not sure which course to choose? The one-semester Common ICT Programme (CICTP) is specially designed to expose you to different disciplines before you make a more informed decision. You'll be able to choose your preferred IT-related diploma towards the end of your first semester.

All freshmen from the Information Technology , Financial Informatics ,  Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics  and    Immersive Media  diplomas, including those who opt for CICTP, will share a common curriculum in the first semester.

Get Exposure

Common foundational modules expose you to the four  different course disciplines: Information Technology, Financial Informatics , Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics or Immersive Media.

year 01

Get an introduction to the field of IT by understanding the roles, practices and career paths of IT professionals. Learn the fundamentals of programming and cyber security, as well as an overview of enterprise information systems that use data analytics for decision making. Choose your preferred discipline at the end of your first semester.

Entry Requirements


To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have the following GCE ‘O’ Level examination (or equivalent) results.

  • Subject‘O’ LEVEL GRADE
  • English Language 1 - 7
  • Mathematics (Elementary/Additional)1 - 6
  • Any two other subjects1 - 6

You must also have sat for one subject listed in the 2nd group of relevant subjects for the ELR2B2-C Aggregate Type listed here.

Candidates with severe vision deficiency should not apply for the course.
