Today, Asina still holds dear to her heart what HMS has taught her. “I see positivity in every situation, and am always ready to be the reason for someone’s positivity.” This confident, caring and ready-to-give graduate is currently a preschool teacher, nurturing the next generation. “The wide spectrum of knowledge that I have learnt and developed from HMS has allowed me to explore different paths in the early childhood field. I am thankful to the experiences gained from many projects and practicums.” To her, success is the satisfaction she gets at the end of every day as a preschool teacher. She especially treasures the fact that the little ones always come to her, remembering what she has taught in class the day before. “As a language educator, my heart feels full when children make the effort to pick up and speak the language. It requires one's interest, listening, understanding and processing to speak a language. This shows me constantly that children are wonderful vessels and that each of them, unique in their ways, is capable of achieving.” This surely sounds like what a true early childhood educator would say! We are very inspired by Asina’s love for children. Let’s put our hands together and wish her all the best in turning those little frowns into happy faces!*The Diploma in Child Psychology & Early Education (CPEE) is no longer being offered. Students who are keen to pursue a career in Early Childhood may apply for the Diploma Early Childhood Development & Education (ECDE), a course conducted by NIEC in collaboration with Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) at the NIEC (NP) campus.
