School of Film & Media

Singapore’s most-established media school that boasts renown alumni.

Established in 1989, the School of Film & Media Studies (FMS) is known for its pioneering work in media education.

It was the first tertiary institution in Singapore to offer a full-time Diploma in Mass Communication (MCM), which has gone on to become one of the most popular diploma courses in Singapore. In 1993, the School started its Diploma in Film, Sound & Video (FSV).

FMS graduates consistently achieve stellar results in international competitions, in securing competitive media positions, and in scholastic endeavours. Many FMS graduates are prominent professionals in the various media fields. Some of our familiar graduates include radio deejays and personalities Jean Danker and Justin Ang, actor/director Alaric Tay, and international award-winning filmmakers Anthony Chen and Boo Junfeng.
