School of Film & Media

Xplore. Xcel. Xcite.

Established in 1989, the School of Film & Media Studies (FMS) is known for its pioneering work in media education.

It was the first tertiary institution in Singapore to offer a full-time Diploma in Mass Communication (MCM), which has gone on to become one of the most popular diploma courses in Singapore. In addition, FMS also offers the Diploma in Film, Sound & Video (FSV) and the Diploma in Media Post-Production.

FMS offers innovative platforms for realistic learning, industry mentorship, entrepreneurship and service learning. With its well-equipped studio and soundstage spaces, its top-notch learning environment inspires industry-standard work.

As the most established media school in Singapore, FMS prides itself on having a successful and growing graduate community, both in the media and non-media sectors. They include award-winning film director Anthony Chen, radio and TV personality Sonia Chew, chief executive officer of Publicis Media Ian Loon and creative director of Teng Ensemble Dr Samuel Wong.
