Why NP?

Real-World-Learning

From Silicon Valley to Sydney, Ho Chi Minh to Helsinki, our students are riding on the global start-up wave with an internship opportunity of a lifetime at the world’s leading innovation hubs. Experience what it’s like to work in a fast-paced culture abroad and build networks with fellow entrepreneurs through our Global Entrepreneurial Internship Programme (GEIP).

Lynette-Lau

“Interning with Grab Indonesia has allowed me to gain a wealth of knowledge in analytics and operations, and given me the opportunity to work in over 10 cities in Indonesia over six months. I’ve led projects, managed different cities, and even implemented new strategies to smoothen operations.”  - Lynette Lau, Diploma in Business Studies, interned at Grab Jakarta.

Awesome CCAs

With more than 100 CCA clubs and interest groups for you to choose from, there’s never a dull moment in campus. Here’s a look at NP’s hip-hop dance club New Revolving Age (NRA).

It’s hard to keep up with the bundle of energy that is Denise Teo – the Film, Sound & Video student is always ready to bust a move.

“We do a variety of other dance styles, including locking, street jazz, popping, whacking and even reggae.” Denise’s favourite thing about hip-hop dancing is the emotion that goes into it. “You feel so alive and free. I learnt what it means to truly enjoy the music and dance like no one is watching.”

Overseas Exposure

Seize the opportunity to broaden and deepen your skills through a rewarding overseas experience. The overseas exposure can take the form of an internship, immersion programme, or a community service trip. Subsidies are available for such trips, depending on students’ financial background.

Overseas-Exposure

An immersion trip to California was eye-opening for Ryan in more ways than one as he learnt to think out-of-the-box (American style), appreciate art pieces and even visit the legendary Alcatraz prison.

“At American colleges like Menlo and Stanford, discussion and dynamic thinking are always encouraged. We wrote our ideas on post-it notes, then discussed them as a group tll we found the most suitable answers. The experience taught me to share my opinions more confidently instead of keeping them to myself.” - Ryan Lee, Sustainable Urban Design & Engineering
