Combating Covid​​-19

Dear Visitors,

With the heightened alert to minimise COVID-19 transmission, entry to the campus for visitors remains by authorisation issued by the Academic School or Department. Our Student Services and Visitors Centre (SSVC) is open to visitors on an appointment basis only via askNP@np.edu.sg. We apologise that these measures may cause some inconvenience. To assist you in your enquiries, we have compiled a list of hotlines and contacts which you may find useful. Please see list​ and call/email us if we can be of help.

Recreational use of campus facilities such as the swimming pool, multi-purpose sports halls, running track and performing studios, The House (for staff/alumni at Blk 75), as well as the NP Library will be unavailable to external members until further notice.

Strict Safe Management Measures on Campus

On our campus grounds, we have implemented further strict measures to provide a safe campus environment and minimise risks of further outbreaks. This includes restricted entry via the main gate and only by prior authorisation, during the campus opening hours.

Monday to Friday: 6am to 8pm

We seek your cooperation to abide strictly by the measures below. We recognise they may cause some inconvenience, and seek your patience and understanding.

Before you leave home for NP campus

Health Advisory

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the following, please do not come to campus. Stay home or see a doctor if you are unwell.

  1. Have you been
    • in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case in the past 14 days?
    • ​working in an environment with risk of exposure to COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days? (e.g. dormitory, isolation/quarantine/community care facilities or ambulance/ dedicated patient transport.)
  2. Are you currently
    • serving a Quarantine Order (QO), Stay-Home Notice (SHN)​ or Leave of Absence (LOA)?
    • on medical leave (i.e. MC) and/or waiting for your COVID-19 swab test result?
    • experiencing any symptoms such as fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat or loss of taste or smell?
  3. At your place of residence, do you have
    • an adult (≥18 years old) household member who is unwell with flu-like symptoms?
    • a household member serving Home QO​ or SHN​?

Submit Declaration on TOMS (Temperature Online Monitoring System)

For students, you need to record your temperature and health declaration via TOMS daily.

Install TraceTogether from www.tracetogether.gov.sg. Ensure that Bluetooth is tur​ned on.

Upon arrival on campus

Please enter NP via the main gate (Vehicular and Pedestrian) along Clementi Road or through Gate 4 (Vehicular and Pedestrian) behind NP Sports Complex. All the other side gates will remain closed during this period.

From the bus-stop

  • Proceed to the Student Plaza, where a thermal scanner has been deployed.
  • Show your Staff Card / Student Card / NRIC to personnel on duty. Visitors will also need to present an authorisation letter.
    For staff / students, on your subsequent entries, please wear your coloured lanyard which will be distributed to you.
  • Use the TraceTogether (TT) App to scan Safe Entry to enter the campus. If you can’t install the TT App, you will need a TT token. To obtain one, visit https://token.gowhere.gov.sg

Driving into campus

  • Drive through either of the 2 screening lanes at the main entrance tentage.
  • Show your Staff Card / Student Card / NRIC to personnel on duty. Visitors will also need to present an authorisation letter.
    ​For staff / students, on your subsequent entries, please wear your coloured lanyard which will be distributed to you.
  • All passengers will need to undergo temperature screening when entering.
  • All passengers (except children) are to use the Trace Together (TT) app to scan Safe Entry to enter the campus. If you can’t install the TT app, you will need a TT token. To obtain one, visit https://token.gowhere.gov.sg

Drop-Offs

  • Drive through either of the 2 screening lanes at the main entrance tentage.
  • Show your Staff Card / Student Card / NRIC to personnel on duty. Visitors will also need to present an authorisation letter.
  • Visitors will be issue a coloured sticker when they show their authorisation email to personnel on duty.
  • Use the Trace Together app to scan Safe Entry to enter the campus, and have your temperature taken.
  • You can alight at any location on campus.
  • Drivers who do not alight from vehicle will not need to go through temperature screening and check-in using the Trace Together app.

While You Are On Campus

For the continued safety of the campus community, please abide by these measures.

Use SafeEntry app

You need to sign into SafeEntry when entering facilities and the food court allocated to your zone.

Activate TraceTogether (TT) app

Turn on the Bluetooth. If you can’t install the TT app, you will need a TT token. To obtain one, visit https://token.gowhere.gov.sg

Submit Declaration on TOMS (Temperature Online Monitoring System)​

For students, please ensure you have recorded your temperature and health declaration via TOMS.​

Wear Mask

You must wear a mask at all times when on campus.

Keep > 1m Apart and Wash Hands Regularly

Practise safe distancing by keeping at least 1 metre away from others. Wash your hands with soap and water or to sanitise them regularly.

Wear lanyards

All students and staff are to wear their coloured lanyard at all times when on campus.

During Meal-times

Dine-in is only allowed at the food courts for individuals or groups of 2 persons, and there must be at least 1 metre distancing between diners. Diners should avoid any social interactions while eating. Kindly do not rearrange the chairs. Please adhere to all other safe management measures in place, and leave the food court once you finish your meal. We would like to assure you that our food stall operators will practise stringent hygiene measures. All food handlers will wear face masks, food trays will be sanitised after each use, and hand sanitisers will be made available for use.​
