 Enrichment programmes for secondary school students 

The Academic Schools in Ngee Ann offer a variety of workshops, talks and activity-related programmes for schools. Conducted upon request, these programmes are subject to availability of the staff and facilities. They can be customised for groups.
A fee may be charged for some programmes.

MaxLoad Challenge

Dialogue in the Dark, Singapore
Dialogue in the Dark, Singapore is a journey through darkened simulation rooms. Students will be led by blind guides through a “park”, “river cruise” and “housing estate” in complete darkness. Through the experiential and tactile journey, they will learn about social cohesion and community inclusiveness. They will leave with greater social awareness of the disabled and the diverse populations around them. Paid tour.

Fun With Puppets

This series of workshop covers the Skeletal and Muscular, Cardiovascular and Respiratory, Digestive and Absorption and also on reproductive systems. Students will also get an insight into operating theatre scenarios and will have a chance to participate in optometry-related activities. Choose from these offerings:-

  • Body Werkz
    A fun workshop to discover how your muscles and bones work in tandem, learn how to give injections and how to use wheelchairs and crutches correctly.

  • Respiratory in Rythmn 
    This engaging workshop exposes students to the workings of our hearts and lungs.

  • Nutri 101
    Learn about the caloric value of common food and also how you can do blood glucose monitoring.

  • Oh Baby Baby
    This workshop introduces to students real-life nursing skills. Topics include reproductive systems, fertilization and baby bathing will be covered.

  • Eye Q*
    Through interactive activities, this optometry-related workshop will teach students about the eyes and how optical aids and diagnostic equipment are used.

Days That Matter

Flight Simulator Programme
Students get to learn about basic flight theory and basic instruments used in an airplane cockpit. They will learn to fly a Cessna 172 aircraft using the Microsoft Flight Simulator with guided lessons on takeoffs, landings and receive a Flight Simulator Solo Certificate at the end of their solo flight.

Developing Android Application
