Rules & Regulations

1. Audition:

• All participants will be scheduled to attend an audition on 25th or 26th November 2010. Shortlisted participants will compete at the final on 7th January 2011. (NP Open House 2011)

2. Performance Guidelines:

• Groups of 3 to 6 members each can be formed with any combination of singers and instrumentalist
• External participants allowed but minimum 3 members must be from NP including the lead vocalist
• Groups are to perform an English song of duration 3 to 5 minutes long
• Lyrics to be in English
• For the auditions, instrumentalists are to provide their own instruments; except for the standard 5 piece set of drums, bass, 2 lead guitars & keyboards found in Jamwerkz
• At the auditions, groups must also bring along a copy of the song to be performed (either lead sheet or lyrics)
• Verification of participants’ personal particulars is required for the auditions

3. Judging Criteria:

• The best group award would be given to the group with the highest score based on the following criteria:
• Musicality (Harmony & intonation,
• rhythmic feel, instrument technique)   : 20%
• Diction, Pitch & Voice Quality   : 20%
• Presentation & Style    : 20%
• Facebook ‘Like’ Votes received   : 40%
• (Online Voting on Facebook @ NP Campus Rock)
• The judges’ decision is final. No dispute of the results will be entertained5. Online voting on Facebook @ NP Campus Rock.

4. Registration:

• The downloadable registration form must be emailed to: npcampusrock@gmail.com by 15th November 2010.
• A hardcopy version is also made available @ Studio 27.
• An acknowledgement email will be sent for every entry received

5. Prizes:

• Best Group – Music Video and $600 cash voucher
• 4 Group Finalist $200 Cash Voucher each. An acknowledgement email will be sent for every entry received.

Note:
The organizer, reserves the right to make use of all photographs, audio & video recordings taken during the related activities of the competition for any NP promotional purposes.
