Prestigious Scholarships Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) offers a host of prestigious scholarships to high achievers who excel in both their studies and co-curricular activities. In 2009 alone, Ngee Ann together with external scholarship sponsors awarded more than 300 scholarships to students from all disciplines. More scholarships will be given to our students this year. Besides being recognised for their achievements, the scholars are also enrolled in The Christieara Programme which stretches their intellectual capacity, enhances their perspectives and helps them achieve all-round excellence through a slew of leadership and talent development programmes locally and abroad. Selected students are also given the opportunity to participate in The Christieara Programme. Bursaries and Grants At Ngee Ann, help is available for every student in need. Financial support is provided through bursaries or grants to enable students to cope with their expenses and focus on their education. In academic year 2009/2010 alone, we disbursed financial assistance to about 3,300 students. Ngee Ann is, in fact, the first polytechnic to provide a financial aid package of $1,700 per year for every Singaporean student whose monthly income per household member is $800 or less. This is made possible by the Ngee Ann-administered Student Aid Grants. With the implementation of the Ministry of Education's short-term study assistance scheme in 2009 for 2 years, the financial aid package can amount to $1,940 per year. Students with monthly income per household member of $1,200 or less are eligible to apply for bursaries or grants. To find out more about AY2010/11 bursaries and grants application, please click here
