Optional Additional Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme
Under this scheme, full-time students undergoing industrial attachment may cover themselves for a higher sum during the industrial attachment period at their own expense.

The insurance coverage will revert to normal after the industrial attachment period.

You may approach the Finance Counter inside the Student Services Centre (SSC) at Blk 1 Atrium for application of the Optional Additional Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme.

Workmen's Compensation Insurance
Due to higher exposure to risk during the period of industrial attachment, each student attached to local companies/firms/establishments is insured under the Workmen's Compensation Insurance besides the coverage under Group Personal Accident Insurance.

Workmen's Compensation covers injury sustained by accident arising out of and in the course of employment.

Insurance Claim for General Personal Accident Insurance and Workmen’s Compensation Insurance

  1. Insurance Claim Forms are obtainable at the Finance Counter inside SSC.
  2. The completed Claim Form with relevant supporting documents e.g. original clinic/hospital bills & receipts, doctor’s memo providing description of injury/treatment (if available), police report (for traffic accidents) etc. are to be submitted within 3 weeks from date of the accident, to the Finance Office at Blk 1, Level 6 for onward transmission to the Insurance Company for processing.
  3. Student will be informed of the reimbursement via email and monies will be credited to the student's bank account as stated in the claim form.

Hospitalisation And Surgical Insurance
The cost of hospitalisation in Singapore is very expensive for international students. It is compulsory for international students to buy Hospitalisation and Surgical Insurance to minimise unexpected medical expenses. This policy will cover hospitalisation expenses due to illness and/or accidental injuries up to S$20,000 per year, including pre-existing medical conditions. The insurance premium, which is non-refundable, is payable in the first semester together with the tuition fee.
