NPNet is the Ngee Ann Polytechnic campus-wide network. The primary objective of the NPNet is to enhance academic excellence for, amongst & between NP staff & students.
NPNet Policies, Rules and Conditions
By using the IT resources provided by the Polytechnic, students are obliged to observe and abide by the NPNet policies and guidelines in existence. All users have the responsibility to use NPNet resources in an effective, efficient, ethical and lawful manner.
The use of NPNet resources shall be viewed as a privilege and not a right. Disciplinary action will be imposed on users who violate the NPNet policies and guidelines, or abuse the resources. Access to NPNet may be withdrawn. Strict disciplinary measures may be taken against students who are caught in the act of violating the Singapore Copyright Act, which includes unauthorized distribution, use or acquisition of software. Students are also required to observe and comply with the Computer Misuse Act 1993 and Internet Regulations by Media Development Authority (MDA) at http://www.mda.gov.sg/wms.www/actualTransferrer.aspx

With regards to privacy of Personal Data, if you choose to make an application or send us an e-mail for which you provide us with personally identifiable data, we may share necessary data with other Government agencies, so as to serve you in a most efficient and effective way, unless such sharing is prohibited by legislation. We will NOT share your personal data with non-Government entities, except where such entities have been authorised to carry out specific Government services.
NPNet Services
On campus, NPNet provides both Wired and Wireless connectivity for students. Students are issued NPNet accounts during the matriculation exercise. The Account ID & Password enables you to login to the Student Home and access your NPNet mailbox, (MeL) Mobile eLearning system, NPal Student Self Service system and so on.
Student announcements, applications and services are available in the Student Home. Go to Ngee Ann website at http://www.np.edu.sg and click on Student Home to login.
You may access your Mailbox or applications from Campus or from Home via any Internet Service connection or Broadband. For Library online databases, you may need to launch and login to the VPN secure connection before accessing. Details are available via the Student Home.
System Requirements
In order to access Student applications, such as Email, MeL or NPal Student Self Service system, you need to have Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 (or above) with 128-bit encryption and Java VM. Upgrade your IE browser and install Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to meet these requirements. More information is on the Student Home.
Forgotten / Lost Your Password ?
You will first register a personal email address in the NPal Student System (
http://npalstudent.np.edu.sg) before you can reset your password online. If you have not registered a personal email in NPal system, you may reset your password at any of the CC IT Helpdesk Centres or at the Student Services Centre (SSC) at Block 1, Atrium. Please bring along your NRIC or foreign identification.
Those who have already registered a personal email address in NPal Student system, you may reset your password online via the “Forgot NPNet Password” link on the Student Home.
How To Change Password ?
If you still remember your password but would like to change it to something more meaningful, please refer to "Change NPNet Password" link under the NP Application LINKS in Student Home.
