The Ngee Ann Polytechnic Library occupies a central location on campus, spread over four floors of the Administration Building. It houses the Lifestyle Library on the entrance floor and the Academic Library on the other floors. The Academic Collection supports teaching, learning and research while the Lifestyle Collection focuses on personal, social and recreational needs.

Most of the Library's resources are of recent origin and comprise a total of 224,000 volumes of books, 1,060 print periodical titles, 11,000 e-journal titles, 25,500 titles of audio-visual materials, 2,500 software titles and 26 electronic database subscriptions and 290 e-book titles. A wide range of electronic resources is also available through NPNet and the Library Home Page. The Library’s Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is accessible through the NPNet and the Internet.

Functioning in a setting of unique design, the Library provides an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable environment for reading, study and research. It has a seating capacity of1,416 students. Facilities include large reading areas, discussion rooms, study carrels, Photocopying & Printing rooms, Instructional Rooms, Media Viewing Rooms and an E-Resource Room for database access. The Lifestyle Library, the first to be set up among tertiary institutions has a wide range of resources to cover interdisciplinary programmes, including SCV broadcasts, multimedia facilities (audio and video stations) and an Internet Cafe.

The Library is also the first among tertiary institutions to provide both wired and wireless access for notebook computers.
