Immediate Medical Attention for major injury or medical condition
In cases where students who have incurred a major injury or are suffering from a medical condition that requires immediate medical attention, the ambulance should be contacted immediately at 995. Please inform the medical emergency call centre of the exact location of the student. The security guard post (6460-6111) should also be informed of the location of the incident so that they can guide the ambulance to the incident site.
The injured student’s particulars should be taken down and referred to the Student Services Office at 6460-8182, 6460-6444, or 6460-6333. Student Services Office will follow up on the student's well being and inform the parents.
Medical Attention by First Aider/Clinic or Hospital for minor injures or medical condition
In cases where students sustain minor injury that requires first aid treatment, the person who attended to the student should render first aid if he/she is a certified first aider and has the necessary first aid items. If not, contact the Student Services Office.
If the student requires medical attention at a medical facility, the person who attended to the student should bring the student to the nearest clinic or hospital.
Student Services Office should be informed of the student's particulars and condition. If no one is able to accompany the student to a clinic or hospital, contact the Student Services Office.
First Aid Supplies
Procedure For Replenishing First Aid Supplies
To apply for replenishment of first aid supplies, the Departments / Schools / Divisions must raise a request using the Request for First Aid Supplies (NP/SS/06/2008) form. The form should be submitted to Student Services Office via fax at 6468 7962. The request can be raised as and when required through your designated First Aid coordinator at your Department / School / Division.
The requester must indicate the number of items required on the form, location of delivery and remarks if any. Not all items on the list need to be ordered. Small orders may take a longer period to be delivered as we will be consolidating smaller orders. A collated request is preferred.
The items would be delivered to the Department / School / Division in about a week after receipt of the request, depending on availability of stocks at the contracted supplier.
