Background
The Ngee Ann Polytechnic Shuttle Bus Service first started operations in 2001 from Clementi Interchange. Its main purpose was to help students get to campus on time for classes during the morning peak hours.
 
Over the years
Now the service includes Hougang, Tampines and Woodlands Bus Interchanges. This certainly helps many students living in distant residential estates to come to campus on time, cutting their travel time by almost half. The various routes were carefully chosen after detailed studies of the student population  living in these areas and their travel time to campus.

How about going home too?
We understand that getting a bus back home in the evenings at 5 to 6pm can be quite a challenge. Students have suggested running shuttle bus services back to the interchanges in the evenings. However, the costs involved in running such services are highly prohibitive. Well, at least students are in no hurry to get to classes!

Bus Operations
The number of buses and the frequency for each route were also chosen to balance factors such as ridership, travel time to campus and cost. While it will be ideal to have as frequent a timing as possible and as many buses as there are students in the queue, unfortunately limited resources prevent us from doing so! Bus timings are scheduled such that students will be able to get to campus in time for the 8am or 9am classes.

So why not hop onto one of the shuttle buses and come to campus in comfort! Enjoy the ride!

Pick up point: Clementi MRT Station Bus Stop along Commonwealth Avenue West (next to Blk 324) 
Alighting points: SIM HQ bus stop, NP bus stop

Pick up point: Tampines Bus Interchange, Berth A1(next to SBS Transit service 23 bus bay)
Alighting points: SIM HQ bus stop, NP bus stop

NOTE:
The shuttle buses DO NOT operate during vacation, term breaks, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
