 Lost & Found

The Student Services Centre (SSC) provides a lost and found service. Any articles found within the campus grounds are deposited at the SSC. Students can approach the counter staff to check if their missing article was found. Students are encouraged to lodge a written report to enable the Polytechnic to contact them if their lost articles are found. Items not claimed will be sold or donated to charitable organisations.

A delighted owner reunited with her lost laptop:-
“Wow, this is great! I can’t believe I got my lost laptop back within a day. Thanks to the helpful staff at SSIC” – Yvonne Tan (QME 1st yr) in Year 2007

Lost It
Losing your personal belongings is a frustrating experience. Don't despair. Come over to SSC at the Atrium and lodge a lost report with us. If you are lucky, your lost item is already deposited at SSC by a kind finder. Besides, we would like to advise you on:-
  • Lost of Valuable Items or Important Documents like laptops and passports, we recommend that you also lodge a report with the police.
  • Lost of Student Card, besides informing us at SSC, please also lodge a report to our Library immediately to prevent unauthorised loans on your card. (Note: Card replacement at a fee of $20/- can also be processed at SSC. Your new card should be ready for collection after 3 working days)

Found It
If you found an item on campus, have a heart and return it to SSC. Your honesty and thoughtfulness will not go unappreciated. If you find an item in a public area, do return the item to the police, unless it is clear that it belongs to a Ngee Ann staff or student. In the latter case, please return the item to SSC.

Sale of Unclaimed Found Items
Items that are not claimed within 6 months* are sold during a jumble sale at irresistible low prices. The money from the jumble sale is channeled back to the Student Activity Fund for use by Ngee Ann Clubs & Societies. Students and staff are informed through posters put up at notice boards or TV Displays at SSC.
*Guide Only- Depending on the number of saleable items on hand
