MOE Short-Term Study Assistance Scheme
MOE Short-Term Study Scheme (MOE SSAS) is a scheme that provides financial assistance to university, polytechnic and ITE Singaporean students to help families facing financial difficulties tide over this economic downturn. The scheme will be implemented over a period of two years starting from academic year 2009.
Eligibility Criteria |
- Singapore Citizen
- Full-time diploma programme
- Monthly Income per Household Member (MI/HM) of $1,700 and below
- Your tuition fees must be fully covered by either one or a combination of the following schemes:
- Tuition Fee Loan
- CPF Education Scheme
- MENDAKI Tertiary Fee Subsidy or Loan Scheme
- PSEA Scheme
- Study Loan AND
- If your MI/HM is less than or equal to $1,200 per month,
- You must have taken up or is applying for a study loan of $2,000 per annum in this academic year under the study loan scheme for living expenses, and
- A bursary or scholarship covering subsidised tuition fees for academic year 2010/11.
- If your MI/HM is greater than $1,200 but less than $1,700 per month,
- You must have taken up or is applying for a study loan of $2,000 in this academic year.

Application |
- Interested students may submit an online application at https://npalstudent.np.edu.sg from 6 to 20 August 2010.
- Submit the following documents within 5 working days from the date of your online application:
- Photocopies of NRICs/ Birth Certificates of the family members declared in the application, including applicant's.
- Photocopies of latest salary slip, letter from employer, income tax returns or statement of monthly CPF contributions downloadable from myCPF of the family members declared in the application.
- Photocopies of student cards of family members studying in tertiary institutions.
- Photocopies of past 3 months' salaries if gross monthly income varies
- For applicants with no household income, please complete and submit income-declaration form to declare household income as nil and income tax returns or statement of monthly CPF contributions downloadable from myCPF.
- Any other relevant documents to support your application.
