Micromouse

Micromouse is a self-contained mobile vehicle which is able to navigate along the alleyways in an unknown maze. The maze dimensions are 16 rows and 16 columns. The robot designer has to build a fast moving robot with artificial intelligence to solve the maze which is located at the centre of the maze and compute the optimize path between the starting position to the centre of the maze.

The challenge of this project is to miniaturize the robot to accelerate at a very fast speed within a short distance, to identify the optimize path without search through the whole maze and to dash through the optimize path in the highest reliable speed.

Microclipper

Microclipper is also a self-contained mobile vehicle which is able to navigate along the alleyways in an unknown maze. The maze dimensions are similar to the one using in micromouse. The robot has to search the cylindrical cans in the maze. These cans are randomly placed in the maze. When the robot encounters a can, it has to turn over the can and create a clear path for the robot to search for other cans.

The robot designer has to design the flipping and clipping devices for the robot. It searching strategy will focus on searching for the all the can in the maze in the minimum steps.

Sumo Robot

Sumo Robot is a 3Kg in weight and able to search for the opponent robot and push the robot out of the circular arena.

The challenge of the project is to design and build a powerful robot that is able to track the opponent robot but can stealth away from it so that the robot is able to charge to the opponent without its awareness.
